International Institut for Sustainability Management (IISM)

Sustainability has become a guiding principle in business, politics, culture and society at large. It is understood in the IISM as a phenomenon that both has an effect in the long-term and is effective over the long-term; it is where economic, social, cultural and/or ecological systems come together. Building on this understanding, the institute deals with sustainability by focusing on the following areas: change management, marketing communications, cross-cultural management, Corporate Social Responsibility and green energy.

The IISM is associated with the SRH University Berlin.

Cooperation between IISM, SRH University Berlin and SWOPS
In the cooperation between the demography project SWOPS – initiated by the BPW Club Berlin e.V.) and the International Institute for Sustainability Management (IISM), the students of the SRH University Berlin work on the topic Workplace Health Management (BGM). As part of a Company Project, students perform quantitative and qualitative interviews with several companies. The evaluation of the results will accumulate in a study, which is then presented in a textbook. For many companies across the EU, BGM is an important tool to be attractive as an employer for his own and potential new employees.
